Abstract

Wing, an Alphabet company, is the global leader in residential drone delivery and is now making thousands of deliveries a day to nearly 2 million people across Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Houston with plans to expand to more than 270 locations over the next year. So, what did it take to bring drone delivery out of the Google X lab and into real neighborhoods? This seminar will give an overview of Wing’s history and technology, and dive deep into the challenges of designing aircraft for scalable last-mile delivery.

Biography

Giulia Pantalone leads the Aircraft Development team at Wing. She received her BS and MS degrees in aerospace engineering from MIT.
